By accessing or using StatusShield ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. The Service is provided by Obsidian Clad Labs LLC ("we", "us", "our").
StatusShield provides uptime monitoring, public status pages, and alerting services. We monitor URLs you provide and notify you when they become unavailable. The Service is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind.
You must provide a valid email address to create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.
You agree not to use the Service to monitor URLs you do not own or have authorization to monitor. You agree not to abuse the monitoring system by creating excessive monitors beyond your plan limits. You agree not to use the Service for any illegal purpose.
Paid plans are billed monthly or annually via Stripe. You can cancel at any time from your settings page. Upon cancellation, you retain access until the end of your billing period. We offer a 30-day money-back guarantee on all paid plans, no questions asked. If you're not satisfied within 30 days of your initial purchase, contact us for a full refund.
We strive for high availability but do not guarantee 100% uptime of the monitoring service itself. We are not liable for any damages resulting from service interruptions, missed alerts, or inaccurate monitoring data.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Obsidian Clad Labs LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify registered users of material changes via email. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Tennessee, without regard to conflict of law principles.
